Brain Hamill is a writer and creative adviser for Recess, he has been credited with writing an episode and supplying the story for another one of the series. The former one was the 1999 episode "A Genius Among Us", which was part of the third season; the latter one was the 2000 episode "Spinelli's Masterpiece", which was part of the fourth season. The original teleplay for this episode was by Ford Riley.
