Dottie Deidger is an old lady who lives next door to Third Street School. She only appeared in one episode The Lost Ball. The kids in Third Street School think she is a monster, only to find out that she is actually an old woman who took Gus in her house to give him cookies. Then Dottie offers the rest of the children cookies and takes them to her shed where she gives them all of the balls that had been kicked over her fence. As it turns out the balls were never lost, it is just that no kid has ever been thought to come and ask for them back.
