Catherine Louise Sagal (born January 19th, 1954) is an American film, television, and voice actress and actress and singer-songwriter. She rose to fame to the late 1980s. She attended the California Institute of the Arts. She has been married four times. Sagal has been married to Kurt Sutter since 2004. Katey Sagal has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She was the voice of Florence "Flo" Spinelli - matriarch of the Spinelli family and Ashley Spinelli's mother - in the television series Recess, from the character's first appearance in the episode "Parents' Night" in 1997 to the feature-length movies six years later in 2003. However, she is best known for her work on such roles as Peggy Bundy on Married... with Children, Leela on Futurama, Cate Hennessy on 8 Simple Rules, and Gemma Teller Morrow (née Madock) on Sons of Anarchy.
