The Dude is the twenty-third episode of the fourth season of Recess, which was first broadcast on November 28th, 1999.
Summary
An urban legend comes back to Third Street School. Now an aspiring teacher, he returns as an idol - now known to the kids as Mr. Dude.

- Miss Finster seems to remember The Dude from his elementary school years (in the 1980s), however, Miss Grotke seems to have just met him. This may suggest that she didn't begin teaching at Third Street School until the very late '80s or early '90s.
