"The Madness of King Bob" is the ninth episode of the fourth season of Recess, which was first broadcast on September 26th, 1999.
Summary[]
Seemingly continuing from the episode "The Big Prank", King Bob becomes obsessed with pulling a prank on T.J.
Goofs[]
- Coloring/consistency error: After a water balloon hits Gus, he is shown looking down and dripping wet. In this scene, the water drops from his hair are colored the same as his hair.
- Consistency error: When giving Randall his "package", Hustler Kid referred to him as Randall "C." Weems, rather than Randall J. Weems.
Trivia[]
Continuity[]
- This is the only Recess episode to continue from a previous episode.
- King Bob's Unnamed Mother is voiced by Kath Soucie in this episode instead of April Winchell.
- Miss Finster does not appear in this episode, but if she did, she would have caught King Bob pranking back at T.J. and other students.
Allusions[]
- When T.J. says to the unknown prankster, "So put that in your prank and pull it," it is a reference to the expression, "So put that in your pipe and smoke it."
- The episode's title is a reference to the 1994 film The Madness of King George, which covers the declining mental health of the real-life King George III of Great Britain.
